Blood Pressure

  • Immediate counseling provided, with education, emphasizing the recommendations of the National High Blood Pressure Education Program: maintaining a healthy weight, being physically active, following a healthy diet plan, reducing sodium intake, drinking alcohol in moderation, taking prescribed drugs as directed
  • Rechecks for all elevated results
  • Monthly or quarterly clinics available

Diabetes

Utilizing the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE) recommended framework focusing on seven areas of self-care:

  • healthy eating
  • being physically active
  • monitoring blood glucose levels
  • taking medication correctly
  • learning to solve problems that arise in your diabetes management
  • taking steps to reduce your risk of diabetes complications
  • and learning to cope with the emotional ups and downs that come with living with a chronic disease

Stress

Classes look at the dynamics of stress and discover how it affects your health, emotions, thoughts and behavior. Learn techniques to manage stress in your work and personal life.

Weight

• Weekly or monthly weigh-in programs available
• Educational sessions combine healthy eating and physical activity components

Smoking Cessation Program – Freedom from Smoking

American Lung Association’s eight week smoking cessation program utilizes interactive learning in a small group setting with certified instructors.

Healthy Behavior Classes

Educational Programs are facilitated by a nurse or wellness specialist. We offer 30 minute and 1 hour classes, based on company need.
